Chad Nehring (16)

Chad-Nehring

Undrafted fourth year center Chad Nehring(16) received his first crack at the AHL signing a pto with Hartford Wolf Pack and scored a goal in his debut, an unfortunate 6-4 loss though.

The 5’11” 200 lbs. forward signed with his fourth different team in the off season, inking a one-year deal with Greenville Road Warriors.

He’s put up 5 goals and 7 assists in 17 ECHL games, which puts him on pace to notch career highs for all scoring categories in his three campaigns in the league.

He led the dormant Las Vegas Wranglers last year in goals and for the previous season he was the top goal scorer and point getter for Central Hockey League‘s Arizona Sundogs.

Almost ironically he never really connected for many points in four years at Lake Superior State University, finishing up his college career with a modest 30 goals and 23 assists in 147 games.

The 27-year old may only be up for a brief stay in Connecticut, but if he continues connecting with the score sheet and is released, another squad maybe hurting with their offense production could have a longer look.
