Danny-Taylor

12th year goaltender Danny Taylor(20) was summoned back from 3 successful seasons in the KHL, especially in his last campaign with HC Sibir Novosibirsk, where he posted a 1.75 GAA and .940 SV% in 29 games after leaving Medvescak Zagreb for the better deal.

His 46 total games were a career high.

He initially left North American pro hockey to join Farjestad BK of the SHL and performed well for them too before heading to Russia.

The 6′ 198 lbs. net minder had completed two years in the Calgary Flames‘ system again doing a bang up job in the minors but was only recalled for a pair of starts.

He is currently backstopping for his 17th team, Belleville Senators while under contract to their parent club Ottawa Senators but it’s very possible the 31-year old could see another game in the big league and even potentially put together an extended run, if he can get hot.

In the one start we saw, he shut the door on a 6-1 win and showed a ton of poise stopping pucks.

Danny Taylor(1) Springfield Falcons

danny-taylor-1

By the numbers, 6th year pro goaltender Danny Taylor(1) is making an argument for Springfield Falcons to sign him to an American Hockey League standard player contract.

He is currently signed to a pto.

His 2.31 GAA puts him at #17 on the AHL goalie leaders and his .931 SV% ranks 6th.

As of October 7 he signed a contract with Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL but did not appear in a regular season game.

We’ve seen it: this former Los Angeles Kings‘ 7th round pick in the 2004 draft (#221 overall) may have found his zone.

He has one game of NHL experience.
