9th year undrafted left wing Joey Sides(19) is spending a 5th season under an ECHL contract for 2017/2018 with Tulsa Oilers and is off to another hot start scoring 5 goals and 9 assists in 20 games with a +8 rating.

The former three-time captain of Wentworth Institute of Technology NCAA Division III team was a standout started.

He started his pro career with two years in the defunct Central Hockey League for Arizona Sundogs starting his scoring prowess.

At 5’11” 187 lbs. the forward isn’t exactly the biggest guy out there but finds his space fairly smartly and easily.

He spent playing time in the Netherlands one-time top league Eredivise, the AHL in 2013/2014 signed by St. John’s IceCaps but only appeared in 6 games, skated last season serving as captain for Dundee Stars of the EIHL and didn’t play in 2013/2014.

The now 31-year old is certainly a heck of a point performer and will likely go until he doesn’t connect with the net but post playing career he would likely make an outstanding coach.
