Nick-Paul

Ottawa Senators‘ big rookie left wing (6’4″ 223 lbs.) Nick Paul(13) is having a nice first season that was recently made better with a maybe slightly unexpected recall, where he first recorded an assist in his second appearance and got his 1st NHL goal to opening up the scoring in game 4, a 4-1 win.

He’s been doing decently on reassignment to affiliate Binghamton Senators, who unfortunately are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Still in 45 AHL games, the super-young 20-year old has managed 6 goals and 11 assists with a -4 rating.

Originally a Dallas Stars‘ 4th round pick in the 2013 draft (#101 overall), he was traded on the opening day of the 2014 free agency.

After finishing up his third season notching a point-per-game statistics with North Bay Battalion of the OHL, he decided it was time to turn pro signing a three-year entry level deal.

Judging by his speedy ascent from the minors to the big league, he made the right decision.
